Who's Going to Triumph - Flash Or HTML5?

Despite all these long-established strengths some people are trying to kick Flash down from its pedestal by boycotting the technology. The key issue of the argument is that HTML5 really should substitute Flash as Flash technology has lots of things to make improvements upon. Not surprisingly there are and will be the niches where Flash is still undisplacable.

The mobile or portable web is in its start. An increasing number of people around the globe own cell phones and handhelds able to link to the Internet. Naturally, they are unconsciously wanting something very comparable to what they are able to see in the internet browser on their computer. Seems like currently Flash is firmly set up in that market. And that's for a reason. Performance tests have revealed that HTML5 is out-performed by Flash on a mobile platform. The online video media and animations can certainly be loaded a lot quicker and be viewed a lot more smoothly.

Lots of business and corporate web sites won't probably convert to HTML5 - simply for the basic principle of 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it'. Flash templates or Flash web designs are still going to deliver best experiences as a result of their flexibility and reliability.

So, who is the winner? Who's holding the long run majority? The history will show us. Nevertheless, I do think that Flash won't die unnoticed - it's a strong contender.
